Sheriff’s Sales
The sheriff may seize and sell the debtor's non-exempt personal property at public auction.

Sale Process
1
The sheriff levies on (physically identifies and tags) the debtor's personal property
2
The debtor receives notice of the impending sale
3
An appraisal of the property is conducted
4
The property is sold at public auction
5
Proceeds are applied first to costs, then to the judgment
6
Any excess is returned to the debtor
