Important: Execution Requirements
Pennsylvania law requires specific formalities for estate planning documents to be legally valid. Wills must be signed by the testator in the presence of two witnesses. Powers of attorney must be signed and notarized. Living wills require two witnesses who are not healthcare providers.
Every document we deliver includes detailed execution instructions explaining exactly how to sign, witness, and notarize your documents properly. We also note where Allegheny County requires specific filing (such as with the Register of Wills).
