MDJ Execution Process

File a Request for Order of Execution with the MDJ who entered the judgment

The MDJ issues an Order of Execution directed to the constable or sheriff

The constable/sheriff levies on the debtor's non-exempt personal property

Seized property is scheduled for sale at public auction

Proceeds applied to the judgment, with any excess returned to the debtor

Installment Payment Orders

The MDJ may enter installment payment orders based on the debtor's financial ability, temporarily staying execution as long as payments are made.

The judgment creditor must pay an advance deposit for constable/sheriff costs.
