CCP Execution Process
File a Praecipe for Writ of Execution with the Prothonotary
The Prothonotary issues the Writ of Execution directed to the sheriff
The Writ is served on the debtor (personal property levy) or on a garnishee such as a bank (bank levy)
Seized property is scheduled for sheriff's sale
The sheriff distributes proceeds according to lien priority

Requires advance deposit for sheriff costs. Multiple writs may be issued for different types of property.
Unlike MDJ execution, CCP writs allow garnishment of bank accounts (served on the bank as garnishee) and execution against real property through sheriff’s sale.
